Hi, I’m Dhilan, a senior in high school. I love exploring how people and cultures shape the world, and how the world, in turn, shapes us. I’m fascinated by history, human behavior, and the ways that culture and economics intersect. That’s why I’m planning to study Anthropology and Finance in college: I want to explore the intersection between human behavior and the systems that organize our world. In general, I’m always looking to understand the bigger picture.
I enjoy hands-on learning and building things that matter. From composing piano pieces in G, C, and A Minor and performing in recitals/local events, to leading soccer teams or developing my own skincare products, I love combining creativity, curiosity, and effort into tangible results. Helping others has also been a big part of my life. Mentoring kids, volunteering for the elderly, and creating spaces for people to connect (whether that has been through a club or affinity group at schhool) has taught me empathy, strength, and leadership.
Outside of projects and learning, I would describe myself as an explorer. Surfing in different countries, traveling, and learning about cultures firsthand inspires me and keeps me curious. I value family, persistence, meaningful connections, and authenticity, and I’m always looking for ways to grow, create, and become the best version of myself while contributing to society.
